The Forest Hills Fine Arts Center in Grand Rapids will kick off its 2017-2018 season Monday Oct. 30. The schedule includes four shows with a wide range of artists.
Irma Thomas, The Blind Boys of Alabama and the Preservation Hall Legacy Quintet will open the season Monday, October 30, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $32-$50.
“The Heart and Soul Queen of New Orleans” tour brings together for the first time, these performers, who will treat the audience to a special evening filled with musical collaborations and traditional standards with a French Quarter flavor.
The Tower of Power 50th Anniversary Tour performs Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40-$60.
Tower’s rhythm section lays down a groove like no other band. The band’s horn driven sound is unique, and the way they approach everything, from writing and arranging to mixing and performing, is totally their own.
Dublin Irish Dance “Stepping Out” takes the stage Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $28-$40.
“Stepping Out” celebrates the incredible evolution of Irish traditional dance and music, showcasing the new pioneers who will define the new standard of traditional Irish music and dance.
The final show of the season features An Evening With Bruce Hornsby, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $46-$60.
Bruce Hornsby has built one of the most diverse, collaborative and adventurous careers in contemporary music. Hornsby’s performance will offer a glimpse of a restless spirit who continues to push forward into exciting new musical terrain.
