Forest Hills Fine Arts Center has announced its 2018-2019 professional series season.

This season kicks off in fine form with Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood, Scared Scriptless on Sept. 16, 2018 at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices are $34-$52.

Armed with nothing but their sharp wit, comedians Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood take to the live stage to create hilarious and original scenes in their two-man show.  Known by TV audiences for their work on Whose Line is it Anyway?, Colin & Brad improvise new material every night from audience suggestions and participation.  “Interactive” in every sense of the word, Colin & Brad will take the audience on a comedic high-wire act…just like a live version of Whose Line!  Get ready for a night of non-stop laughter for all ages! WAR -The Band takes the stage Oct. 19 at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $46 – $58. 
War is an American funk band from Long Beach, California, known for several hit songs (including “Spill the Wine,” “The World Is a Ghetto,” “The Cisco Kid,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends?”, “Low Rider” and “Summer”). Formed in 1969, War is a musical crossover band which fuses elements of rock, funk, jazz, Latin, rhythm and blues, and reggae.

 

Currents by Mayumana is scheduled for March 17, 2019 at 7:30 pm with ticket prices $34-$50.

‘Currents’ is a spectacular show that was inspired by the historical Battle of Currents between Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla in their quest for finding energy sources for the world. Audience members will be taken on a journey between two troops, each representing a different view of the essence of light and electricity and each inspired by a different esthetic and artistic approach, all of which are presented as a dialogue, through unique sounds, lights, and visual effects.

 

 

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella comes to FHFAC March 25, 2019 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $42-$64.

Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild LIVE comes to FHFAC May 3, 2019 at 7:30 pm Ticket prices range from $32-$46.

America’s most beloved animal expert, Jack Hanna, brings his three-time Emmy Award-winning television series to the live stage with Into the Wild Live!  In this live show, prepare to be fascinated as Jungle Jack takes you into the wild with a spectacular array of incredible animals. Fans of all ages will enjoy Jack’s stories, from brushing a hippo’s teeth to eating with wombats, and see footage of his worldwide adventures, from the jungles of Rwanda to the savannas of Australia. He will also inspire with his passion and dedication to wildlife conservation. Audiences can expect to see approximately fifteen animals in the live experience.

 

Season tickets, as well as special 3-show family package are on sale now at the box office, or at FHFAC Professional Series. The Fine Arts Center Box Office is open Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  and is open one hour before performances for ticket pickup and same day ticket sales. Single tickets for all shows go on sale Monday, August 13 at 9:00 am.
