Amy Sherman to Host Saugatuck Brewing Co. Craft & Courses

Saugatuck, MI–  Hold onto your beer folks! Our very own Amy Sherman is hosting Saugatuck Brewing Company’s Craft & Courses on Friday, March 4th.  It will be an evening of Michigan craft beer, great food, and good company that you will NOT want to miss!

In addition to the FIVE drool worthy courses Saugatuck Brewing Company’s new chef, Eoen Clark, has whipped up just for ticket holders, each of the courses will be paired with its own beer.  If you’re familiar with Saugatuck Brewing, you know all of their craft brews are awesome, but the five courses they have created for this event look just as delicious.

The courses will consist of an herbed goat cheese cheese cake, posole with a guajillo chile broth and roasted chicken, a roasted vegetable and barley salad topped with shaved fait gras cheese and a blueberry stout vinaigrette, porter braised beef short ribs with cheddar scallion grits and for the grand finale, a deconstructed German chocolate cake with caramel sauce, candied pecans and a coconut macaroon.  Yes, Please!

Could it get any better? Fortunately for us, it can.  Most of the food will be sourced from Farmlink and that means it will be coming fresh from the farm to your plates!

If that wasn’t enough to get you to Saugatuck on the 4th, then the five beers selected for pairings at Saugatuck Brewing Co. might do the trick!  Daze on Saison, Third Bear, Blueberry Maple Stout, Five Quarter Porter and Barrel Aged Old Ale will all be on the menu.

Amy is an expert in all things food and beer!  She will be with you every step of the way to explain how the flavors of each dish are perceived with its specific beer pairing and what tastes to look for.

This being Amy’s third year hosting Craft and Courses, she is excited for what she describes as the “most creative menu so far at Craft and Courses.” Amy also gives us a sneak peak into some of the things she is looking forward to most, “I’m super excited to try the posole paired with the Third Bear ESB.  The short ribs with cheesy grits should also be fantastic, and since I’m a huge porter fan, getting to try these with SBC’s Five Quarter Porter should be great”.

There are still some seats available! If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, make sure to reserve your spot at the table!
