It’s opening weekend for the Grand Hotel and the brand new Cupola Suites will be open just in time for the start of the 129th season.

I’ll be on the Island later today, and my goal is to give you the first look of the these new suites designed by the famed Carleton Varney, president of the New York-basedDorothy Draper Co. Inc., who has been Grand Hotel’s decorator for 40 years.

I can’t wait to tell you all about them. I’ll have a few updates on MLive throughout weekend.
